IP Geolocation provides data such as city, state, country, continent, zip code, time zone and local currency etc.

Our database is 99%+ accurate at the country level, 90%+ at the state/region level, and 85%+ at the city/locality level. Accuracy for mobile networks is lower than for wired networks.

Yes. Every plan, including the free Developer plan, gets its lookup results from the same database, so the data you get on the free plan is as accurate as on a paid plan. Paid plans add more data, such as accuracy radius, company, network, and security data.

We have developed a database of IP Addresses and their location information. We gather this information from various sources including RIRs and our partner ISPs.

Our location, ASN, company, abuse contact, and security databases come in CSV and MMDB as standard, while the IP WHOIS and ASN WHOIS databases are delivered as Gzip-compressed NDJSON. Other formats such as JSON or Parquet, or a custom format, are available on request depending on the dataset. CSV archives are broken into multiple relational files, so importing them to SQL databases or reading them directly in different programming languages stays simple and straightforward, and every format ships with stable schemas and changelogs.

We provide a 99.99% uptime SLA on all of our plans, including the free Developer plan.

Yes. You can cancel your subscription any time you want and there is no long-term commitment. You will not be charged after your plan is canceled.

We accept PayPal and all credit / debit cards. We use Paddle as our payment processor and distribution partner. All transactions will appear from "Paddle.com Market Limited".

Yes. You can use the free Developer plan in production and for commercial purposes, as long as you stay within 1,000 credits a day and follow our Terms of Service. If you need more than 1,000 credits a day, upgrade to any paid plan. Endpoints and response format stay the same, so your code does not change.

Yes. Contact our support team or use the live chat to request a free trial of a paid plan. The trial gives you full access to paid data, including security data, so you can check accuracy and test your integration before you choose a plan.

We don't have any per-second or per-minute rate limits on any plan. A 429 is returned only when your request quota is used up: on the free plan, once you reach the daily limit of 1,000 credits; on paid monthly or yearly plans with surcharge usage turned off, once your subscription quota is consumed; and on paid plans with surcharge usage turned on, once you have also used up all of your extra surcharge usage.

If you are a seasonal business or a business whose requests depend on marketing campaigns, you can either start with a smaller plan and rely on our surcharge pricing when you exceed your quota or sign up for an annual plan. Annual plans apply yearly limits instead of monthly, and unused credits expire at renewal.

Like most web services, our servers keep standard access logs for 14 days for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. After 14 days, they are deleted automatically. For billing, we keep only aggregate request and credit counts.

Yes, we are compliant with GDPR and US data protection laws including CCPA. A DPA is available on request for paid customers. Contact support@ipgeolocation.io for more information.
